Dear

My name is Ryan Summerell. I am a year 13 at Mount Aspiring college in our Pathways class. This class is for students who are ready leave school but need to get certain qualifications before they leave. The purpose of the class is to create a bridge between the formality of the school system and the practical requirements of the world of work and further education. We’re inviting people we respect to come in to class and ask questions about their job and life stories, so we can get an idea of how we might best make the next move in our lives.

The class could benefit from you coming to talk to us because it could give us some out side knowledge and access to a world view and experiences that we don’t get from our teachers at school. We’re not asking for you to prepare a presentation, instead we’d appreciate a chance to ask questions and get your take on how to approach the next step in life.

If you were willing to consider coming into the class, we’d try to work around your commitments. We have classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at different times. The best way to work out a mutually suitable time would be if you gave me a call on 02108493930. It would be good to have a talk. I could then get your details and set a date when you’re free.

Thanks for considering this – I appreciate it greatly.

Kind regards,

Ryan Summerell.
